The project included roof replacement and repairs at the following schools: Burbank School, Butler School, Winn Brook School, Wellington School, and Belmont High School. Complete roof removal, structural deck repairs (steel, wood, gypsum, cementitious wood fiber, and concrete), new roof drains, skylight repairs, and above roof-line masonry repairs.

Installation of adhered PVC (Sarnafil) roofing system, complete with tapered insulation to provide positive drainage. Approximately 300,000 square feet of roof has been replaced. Work was completed in various phases starting in 1999 and completed in 2004.

Project Scope

The project consisted of replacing a section of roofing (approximately 57,000 SF). The existing EPDM roofing system was replaced with an adhered 60-mil PVC roofing system (Sarnafil), complete with tapered insulation, new roof drains, and edge metal.

Work also included replacement of numerous skylight assemblies, and rooftop unit modifications. Work was completed in Summer 2007.

Project Scope

A roof condition study was performed in 2004, with construction in the summer of 2005. An 84,000 SF sloped shingle roofing system had numerous deficiencies (i.e. product failure, vandalism, etc.). Various replacement options were proposed (shingles, single-ply, and metal roofing), and asphalt shingles were chosen with several measures taken to reduce the vandalism conditions.

Project Scope

The project scope included replacement of slate roofing to this historic building.

Work included complete slate roof replacement utilizing new slate roofing of similar size, color and grade, new plywood roof sheathing and new copper flashings. Ice and water barrier membrane was installed at eaves and valleys. Worn and deteriorated copper gutters and downspouts were replaced with new copper gutters and downspouts.

New copper ridge caps and copper flashings at the intersecting rising masonry walls, chimneys , and cupola were also installed. New snow guard systems were also installed. Certain windows were also replaced and interior ceiling repairs and painting was conducted. Work was completed in 2007.

Project Scope

The work consisted of replacing existing historic slate roof with new slate roofing, which included new copper valleys, hip and ridge caps, and brass snow guards. The flat roof areas were replaced with new 90 mil adhered EPDM roofing complete with tapered insulation, roof drains, edge metal, and expansion joints. A 30-year full system warranty was included on the EPDM roofing.

Project Scope

Replace approximately 107,300 square feet of roofing. Remove the existing roofing systems (consisting of a polyisobutylene (PIB) roof membrane mechanically attached to a tapered lightweight concrete with integral expanded polystyrene (EPS) filler over the original built-up roofing system) and install an adhered PVC roofing system, complete with tapered insulation to provide adequate drainage.

Included were repairs to deteriorated concrete deck, repainting of existing rooftop ladders, and replacement of damaged skylights. Work was completed in two phases; Summer 2003 and Summer 2004.

Project Scope

The project consisted of replacing approx. 121,000 SF of roofing at two schools. The existing ballasted and fully adhered EPDM roofing systems were replaced with adhered EPDM and BUR roofing systems, complete with tapered insulation, new roof drains, roof deck repairs, above roof line masonry repairs and edge metal. Work was completed in 2003 & 2005.

Project Scope

Replacement of approximately 300,000 square feet of roofing spread out over 33 separate roof sections. The existing roofing systems, which consisted of the original built-up roofing system (gravel surface, multiple roofing plies, urethane and fiberboard insulation) and an adhered go-over EPDM roof membrane ystem were completely removed down to the structural roof deck (steel & cementitious wood fiber).

The new roofing system is a 72-mil adhered reinforced PVC roof membrane system complete with tapered insulation, new roof drains, edge metal, expansion joints, and new skylights. Work also included roof decking repairs, thru-wall flashing repairs to above roofline masonry walls, and interior repairs to ceilings and walls. A very fast track project administered by MSBA. Work commenced in August 2009 and was completed in October 2009.

Remove the existing roofing systems (consisting of a mechanically attached hypalon roofing membrane with insulation mechanically attached to a steel deck and a multi-ply built-up roofing system with two layers of perlite insulation asphalt attached to a steel deck) and install insulation as required, recovery board and 4 ply built-up roofing system, complete with a protective cold process flood coat and aggregate surfacing.

This project consisted of replacing approximately 31,500 SF of steep-slope roofing and 6,000 SF of low-slope roofing. The existing asphalt shingles were replaced with new architectural grade shingles complete with vented nail board and ice and water shield membrane. The existing modified bitumen roofing system was replaced with an adhered 60-mil PVC roofing system (Sarnafil), complete with tapered insulation, new roof drains, and edge metal. Work also included repairs to deteriorated roof decking systems (steel & wood). Work was completed in Summer 2007.

Project Scope

The project consisted of a comprehensive roof condition survey of 20 buildings (9 schools and 11 town buildings), including slate, metal, built-up roofing, copper, standing seam, asphalt shingle, PVC, and EPDM roofing systems. Approximately 2,000,000 SF of roof area was investigated and evaluated in 2007. The investigation included roof test cuts, infrared moisture surveys, and hazardous material testing. Detailed condition survey reports were provided for each facility, which documented the results of our investigation and included recommendations for repair with estimated construction costs.

Subsequent to the issuance of the report we have provided design,bidding,and construction administration services for roof replacements and associated repairs at several school and town buildings. The work was completed in phases from 2007 to 2012 during the summer months.
