Window Replacement at Farrell Court

Remove existing single-glazed wood windows and install new vinyl windows including energy
efficient low-e glass. Remove existing sills and install new precast concrete sills.
The existing sills contained asbestos material and were cracked or damaged at many
locations. The existing wood windows were splintered and deteriorated. The existing
single glazed system was very susceptible to air and water infiltration. This project
included the removal and proper disposal of the existing wood windows, shades, cementitious
sills, sealants and caulking, and metal flashing, and installation of new vinyl windows,
shades, sealants and caulking, and new precast concrete sills. Work was completed in 2001.
