The existing roofing systems were replaced in 2003. Sections of flat roofing consisted of the original built-up roofing system and were replaced with a new 4-ply cold process built-up roofing system. Sections of sloped roofing consisted of the original slate roofing tiles and were replaced with new 30-year architectural shingles. Ridge and soffit venting was installed. Repairs to deteriorated sections of wood decking were completed. Ice and watershield membrane was installed at appropriate locations. Damaged slate tiles were replaced at the intersecting cheek walls. Significant repairs to the existing wood gutters were implemented. Copper flashings at the cupola, valleys, and window dormers were installed. Deteriorated wood fascia boards at the dormers and cupola were replaced.
